VyprVPN PPTP VPN Setup for Windows 8

VyprVPN Free accounts are limited to using our Desktop, and Mobile applications to connect to our VPN service. Please see "What is VyprVPN Free?" for more information.

    In the Control Panel, click Network and Internet

    Click on Network and Sharing Center

    Click Set up a new connection or network

    Choose Connect to a workplace then Next

    Click Use my Internet Connection (VPN)

    • Enter a hostname from the VyprVPN servers list in the Internet address field
    • Type VyprVPN in the Destination name field
    • Ensure Remember my credentials is checked
    • Click Create

How to Configure

  1. Press Win + i (the Windows key and the letter "i" at the same time)
  2. Click Control Panel in the side pane that appears on the right
  3. In the Control Panel, click Network and Internet
  4. Click on Network and Sharing Center
  5. Click Set up a new connection or network
  6. Choose Connect to a workplace then Next
  7. Click Use my Internet Connection (VPN)
  8. Enter the desired VPN server address in the Internet address field. View the server addresses here.
  9. Type VyprVPN in the Destination name field
  10. Ensure Remember my credentials is checked
  11. Click Create

How to Connect

  1. Press Win + i (the Windows key and the letter "i" at the same time)
  2. Click the Network Icon at the bottom of the side pane that appears on the right
  3. Click on VyprVPN, then click the Connect button
  4. Type in your Golden Frog Login (e-mail address) and Password in their respective fields
  5. Click OK
  6. You can check your IP here: https://www.goldenfrog.com/whatismyipaddress
