Operating Systems Affected: Windows (all)
Any one of these Windows L2TP errors can occur if a response wasn't received from the VPN server. This is often caused by router interference.
- If using the VyprVPN Desktop App, ensure the app was installed using the computer administrator profile.
If using a manual configuration, ensure that you have added the necessary registry setting outlined in the setup instructions:
- Windows 7 L2TP/IPsec
- Windows Vista L2TP/IPsec
- Windows XP L2TP/IPsec
- Temporarily disable your firewall and/or other security software.
If step three above resolves the issue, contact Golden Frog support to get assistance updating your security software configuration.
