Why do websites or services see a different location then the VPN server I'm connected to?

When you connect to a country/server location, you should appear as being located in that country when verifying your information on IP geo-location websites, such as the Maxmind IP database.

If 3rd party sites/services, such a streaming sites, report that you are not in the service area to access the content then it is likely due to inaccurate or outdated IP database information used by the respective site/service which is outside of our control.

There are a few suggestions that we can offer that may help alleviate this issue. Those suggestions can be found on the following Help Center article: Trouble Accessing Geographically Restricted Content

If the site/service still states you are not in the service area after performing the above steps, you will need to contact the content provider for further assistance.
